We often also have a quantitive enamel defect, which means there is a dent in the enamel. We willen graag zien dat de witte vlek bijna volledig verdwijnt, dan weten we dat het infiltrant ook de gehele vlek kan infiltreren. Hebben we onvoldoende resultaat, dan herhalen we het etsen. Zo'n draadje zou bovendien de voorbereiding van de etsbrug kunnen belemmeren. Bij deze snelle mock-ups is vaak een kleurverschil zichtbaar tussen de tand en het composiet, en zijn de overgangen nog niet perfect. Maar het helpt de patiënt om te zien of mijn idee overeenkomt met hun verwachtingen.
